Volunteering Opportunities

Would you like to take part in the Food and Drink Festival in a more hands on way?

Volunteering with us is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in one of Leamington’s biggest calendar events with over 25,000 people visiting the site over the two days.

Being a volunteer is a lot of fun – you get to meet new people, be part of a hard working team and of course get to sample lots of delicious food and drink!

Contact alison@bidleamington.com for more details and to request an application form.

Green News

There is a strong push towards making events greener and festivals, both large and small, have made huge strides towards reducing waste, incentivising greater sustainability and ethical sourcing.

In 2022 we continue to do our best to make the Leamington Food & Drink Festival a greener event and would like to encourage everyone to assist us in our move towards this.

We have a list of suggestions for stall holders on our Exhibitors Guide page.

For visitors:

Please help our Green Steward Volunteers to recycle as much as possible throughout the weekend. Bins will be provided on site for you to recycle cardboard, cans, glass and plastics. Please read the signs carefully.

For a full list of what Warwick District Council can/cannot recycling please download the leaflet here: Guide to Recycling WDC.

We encourage the use of public transport to the Food & Drink Festival. The Pump Room Gardens is located a 5 minute walk from Leamington Railway Station and a 2 minute walk from Parade which is served regularly by buses. The Pump Rooms has a bicycle rack for those wishing to cycle to the event. And if possible – please walk down to the Pump Room Gardens.

FAQ’s

What is the town like?

Click here to find out what’s on offer in the town www.royal-leamington-spa.co.uk

Where can we stay?

The following hotels are situated in the heart of the town.

Are there cash points at the festival?

Cash machines are located at all the major banks and are within a 5 minutes walk.

Are there things for the children to do?

Most things in the Festival will be suitable for all the family, apart from alcoholic beverages.

The Kid’s Cookery School will be of particular interest, where children will have the opportunity to experiment, play and learn. We endeavour to provide a small number of other activities in the children’s area.

Is accessibility good?

Wheelchair Access: The Pump Room Gardens is wheelchair accessible from the Parade and Dormer Place and has sealed pathways throughout. However the majority of the stalls are on grass which may pose a problem if the conditions are not fine and dry.

Disabled toilets can be found on the Pump Room Gardens in the designated area. For exact location see the programme & local guide on the day. An accessible toilet can also be found inside the Rump Rooms.

A fully accessible ‘Changing Places’ toilet on level 2 of the Royal Priors Shopping Centre, which is approximately 10 minutes’ walk from the Festival site.

Can you accommodate coach parties and groups?

Coach parties, and other groups, are welcome, but please contact us in advance so we can best help you.

Can I bring my dog?

We would advise you NOT to bring your beloved pet as the Festival gets very busy and it’s not fair on them. Guide dogs are welcome but please take care.

Are there First Aid facilities?

There are trained personnel on site throughout the weekend and an ambulance to cope with any incidents that may occur.

What is the quality of products like?

We try hard to ensure that all food and drink supplied at, and associated with the Festival, is of the highest taste quality and of the highest standard of production.

We select the exhibitors at the festival, and the suppliers of take-away food, very carefully, but we cannot examine or analyse every product by every supplier. Any supplier found to be supplying food or drink at the Festival that doesn’t meet our standards and requirements, will be asked to stop doing so and will unlikely be asked to return next year.

Are there toilets on site?

Temporary toilets and disabled toilet facilities can be found in the Pump Room Gardens, and public toilets are available just off Parade on Regent Grove.

Do you have vegetarian food available?

There is a wide range of vegetable products and vegetarian food for you to sample and buy.
